Advanced Safeguarding (2024/2025)

This eLearning course is for practitioners who work with children, young people and/or their families. The content covers information at 'Intercollegiate' level 3 core knowledge.

Target Audience: The Advanced Safeguarding Training is for staff who regularly work with a child or children and young people on a one-to-one basis, i.e. as a lone adult. This course is specialist (level 3) and has been designed for practitioners who could potentially contribute to assessing, planning, intervening and evaluating the needs where there are safeguarding/child protection concerns.

This eLearning course IS NOT SUITABLE for those practitioners who are the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) for their organisation and who therefore have responsibility for other team members in their job role.

This eLearning 'Advanced' training is valid for up to two years.

'Level 2: Awareness of child abuse and neglect eLearning (2024-2025)' must have been completed in the previous 12 months before practitioners attempt the completion of 'Advanced' eLearning for the first time.

At subsequent two yearly intervals, practitioners only need to complete the 'Advanced Safeguarding' eLearning to remain up to date.
