This course is designed for people who are interested in learning how to apply the principles of co-production into the way they work. Delegates will have already completed our Introduction to Co-production module on the website (see below), or another relevant introduction to co-production course (for example SCIE’s).

Target Audience:

The course is a 1 day multi-agency training. It is open for anyone who is affected by Health & Social Care (H&SC), including people who use services or who care for someone that does, providers of services, or people working in H&SC.

You will be interested in this training if:

-you care about actively improving the way health & social care is designed and delivered, where collaboration, integration, equality and diversity are central to the way we work

-you are passionate about building stronger more resilient and sustainable communities

-you want to be a driver of change, incorporating these principles into your area of work

-you want to learn and share with other people who share this passion

Course Aims:

  • Understand the principles and values of co-production & why it works
  • Understand how co-production differs from other forms of engagement
  • Understand the processes involved in starting out – how co-production looks in practice
  • Understand some of the best practice skills, tools, and techniques that are required to facilitate co-production
  • Gain knowledge of good examples, why and how they worked
  • What some of the challenges are and how to overcome them
  • To engage in sharing experiences and learning from each other
  • And to give attendees the knowledge and confidence to implement co-production in their own area of work or community groups
