WEBINAR: 'Big day of learning' session 1: Improving our practice through learning from reviews

In the first of our ‘live’ webinar sessions, we will focus on what we have learned from national and local reviews over the past year, as follows:

• Keynote speaker Annie Hudson, Chair of the national Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panel, will present the national learning outlined in the Panel’s annual report. She will look specifically at patterns in practice, key messages and the Panel’s work programme for 2021 and recognising the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic

• Lara Patel, Deputy Director for Safeguarding, will talk through Oxfordshire’s Rapid Reviews and Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews (CSPR’s), highlighting the key themes and patterns over the year to present a ‘window on the Oxfordshire system’

• Hannah Farncombe, Deputy Director for Children’s Social Care, will reflect on what local reviews tell us about our practice, challenge us to ‘rethink’ our approaches to recurring themes and to build on our strengths
