Multi-agency chronologies (MAC) can be an essential tool for safeguarding andprotecting children from harm. The MAC seeks to give a clear account of all significant events in a child's life, and the impact these events may have on a child's weelbeing and development, drawing upon the knowledge and information held by all agencies involved with the child and family.
This 2 hour workshop aimed at improving practice, will provide clear practical guidance on the use of MACs in safeguarding and child protection. By the end of the session, participants should:
- Understand all agency roles and responsibilities in relation to MAC
- Understand the process for using MAC in CP planning and review
- Understand what to include in the chronology
- Be clear on how the information shared in chronologies assists in the assessment and analysis of needs/risks, and impact on a child and family
The workshop will be led by colleagues from Health, Childrens Social Care and Education.
There is free parking at the venue.
Tea/coffee and pastries will be provided in the morning and further drinks, snacks and lunch can be purchased at the venue.
